Kingfisher......

Kingfisher......
...........but only just! Rubbish shot - posted only to prove that I saw one!!

This is a large crop - far too far away for my 300mm f4!!

John McKay, Eunice Perkins have particularly liked this photo

Oh, well done, I've never managed to photograph one, but the joy of simply seeing one almost compensates. So bright, and lovely on the red dogwood stems

Thanks Judith............I've been after a decent shot of a kingfisher for years, they are so beautiful. Maybe when I retire and I have time to sit in a hide for days on end.....................

Cheers mate (but only marginally better than Andy's chocolate orange wrapper - if you remember that)?

WWT was only partially open........couldn't go the usual way round and going the other way - only as far as the exit from the reedbeds. They were only charging half-price to non-members! It was still a pleasant wander about in the sunshine though :)
