A serious building... Manchester War museum

A serious building... Manchester War museum
X Moving from some old buildings in Oxford to a new one in Manchester. The war museum in Salford is one of the most impressive modern buildings in England. It was designed by Daniel Libeskind , the exterior is beautiful but the interior is a masterpiece in my opinion. It sits on the opposite bank of the Manchester Ship canal looking across at the awful lego building called The Lowry centre. It’s worth a visit just to look at the museum though the exhibits are fascinating and moving and it’s not about the glory of war but rather the tragedy of conflict
