Lower Largo

Lower Largo
Out of the three Largo's (Lower Largo, Upper Largo and Largoward), Lower Largo is the best one - it also happens to be my favourite East Neuk place. All the other villages are photographed to death but no-one seems to come here for some reason. So, what makes it the best? Well, it's pretty much all down to the viaduct as a backdrop. The village also has a good pub.

The other Largo's don't offer as much as that - although Upper Largo does have a golden chicken and an impressive hill. Largoward is the worst one because of the stupid looking triangle house. I've hated that thing since childhood.

This was one of those annoying photos to get. The tide was coming in rapidly and although I'd picked the spot I wanted, the sun was hiding behind a cloud. This particular spot had the poles in the water leading you along the river towards the bridge and viaduct but they also lay to the left of the structures, allowing the view of them to be unhindered. Unfortunately, the light wasn't right and by the time it was, the rising tides had submerged my prize winning spot. Still, this one seems to have come out pretty well, despite not having the composition I was originally going for.
