Kenly Arches

Kenly Arches
This viaduct is causing so much hassle and despair. It's perhaps one of Fife's best looking viaducts but trying to get a photograph that shows off it's grandeur and scale is near impossible due to it's location. The viaduct runs through two gardens and the deck is an extension of one of those gardens. It also happens to be surrounded by woodland on all sides.

After a lot of exploring and looking around, I eventually found this spot by the river which gave me an acceptable view of two of it's arches but there's so much more to this structure that you cannot see and as you can see from the arches present in this photo, there are a lot of structural details that make this a stand-out structure. Maybe one day I'll get lucky and win the lottery (I don't play it so this dream will never come true) and have enough to buy the house by the viaduct, then I can cut down all the trees and get the photo I want.

With that said, all the residents I've met on my futile photography trips here have been really nice, one even let me into his garden to take photographs. Unfortunately, the sun wasn't on my side other wise I might have had the perfect shot.

This will probably always remain the best photo I'll ever be able to take of this viaduct. Part of me wants to come down here with a chainsaw and open it up a little. I can't see the residents being too happy with that, though.
