Yes, leaf size and shape appear to be highly variable, but I am not sure that the forms are very consistent for these. This one, however, is not to be confused with the diminutive form I have photographed a couple of times which is definitely a distinct species and is quite widespread on EP. See Alyogyne sp., PJL 2844, Alyogyne sp., PJL 2800, Alyogyne sp., PJL 2801 and images adjacent to those.
Interesting that this has come up as I have been looking into these lately and expect that there will be a couple of new names for EP Alyogyne species appearing on the SA Census soon.
