Nice to see an environmental photo, rather than close-up of a flower. It is interesting that they have lost their pollinator. Maybe something that has been unsuccessful competing with introduced bees?

Aaah, I didn't realise that.
Lots of the Glossodias have bits eaten away and I have been looking carefully for what might have done it.
After a while I got my eye in and could see quite a number of small green grasshoppers eating at whatever they could reach of the flowers.
That is likely to be the problem here too I suspect.
I have successfully hand pollinated the Spider Orchids for a couple of years now, but have recently read that the same is needed for the Glossodias.
A bit late for this one though (besides I could only find one).

Interesting to see your comment here confirming that the grasshoppers are damaging the flowers. A very nice shot of this little orchid.
