Lost Edifice

Lost Edifice
The impressive Grade II listed d-shaped, bombproof barrack block. Completed in 1865, the fort was then abandoned after World War I, but was then called into service during World War II as an air raid shelter and a US military base. Sadly since then the fort has fallen into disrepair and intense vandalism.

The CBA (Council for British Archaeology) list the fort as one of the most endangered buildings in the Britain. There is a online petition to call for the current owners , Milford Haven Port Authority & Pembrokeshire County Council to commit to preserving the fort and it's long term future - www.gopetition.com/petitions/save-hubberston-fort.html
