yes, i thought so. that's the same with stereotypes. for instance: being punk is some kind of protest, show your difference, but frankly being punk you stick to some rules, way of behaving. so, is it possible to be free of stereotypes, making opinions about others just because they look or behave in some way? There is just great book by polish author, Witold Gombrowicz, "Ferdydurke". (if you can get it in english - it's translated for sure - just read it). I also read about stereotypes in Cialdini's book... (it was something about influence). Very interesting point of view, from both scientific and philosophic position. surprisingly, their conclusion is a bit similar.
hehe glad if you read it ;) i hope you will find it really interesting ;)
well, you are right, he looks, but i thought being baby is not at all about appearance ;) rather his way of styling hair, which shows somehow his way of thinking is more convincing for me ;)
about the stereotype, maybe i used wrong word. Gombrowicz says about, literally, "putting somebody ass", it like putting people into drawers. (i'm curious how they translated it, i'll try to find)
fascinating and inspiring man and works. thank you Rafal.
much of what's cited is still true today...
let me say i wouldn't dare to put this boy in a category. i have no idea what shaped him. i just see a handsome young man who was someone's beautiful baby once. while i also see he struggles to be different and adult. then i remember me and my brothers. how young and beautiful we were...and how young and beautiful the next bunch will be, all while- the world spins along faster and faster.

i'm not just stereotyping him tho. if you look at him large he has peach fuzz and a soft looking adam's apple.

btw, may be interesting before the book, or even a bit convincing for reading it ;)

about a book itself: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferdydurke hmm as i understood translation isn't very accurate, but hope it will show the sense.
