"Skulls in a Cauldron"

"Skulls in a Cauldron"
I knew the name of the piece, but somehow, when I looked into this machine, I wasn't expecting it to be as hardcore as it sounded.

Emily took me to the Museum of Photographic Antiquities - well, she didn't just take me, she made a mystery for me to solve that ended in me realizing we were going to the museum - and it was so cool. It's hard enough for me to imagine having to shoot with film; way back when, it took so long and it was so insanely expensive to have a portrait done that you really only had one shot at it in your life. Can you imagine me, who likes one out of every five hundred photos of myself that I see and keeps one out of fifty photos I take of other people? Nope. Just nope.

But, you know, what would I do with my myself if really smart people who understand science weren't motivated to figure out how to take what the eye sees and put it somewhere else? I honor everyone who figured this stuff out along the way and created a world where I can just freely snap away and keep what I like and trash what I don't. What a blessing.
