Tour de France - Through Yorkshire...
i've tried to impart a sense of how crowded it is within the race pack

William Sutherland, Jean, chris, Claudine Gaulier-Denis and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Nice one, I think you achieved your aim there. looks like you had to get out of the way pretty quick though.

thank you - i was so taken aback at the sheer speed of the pack.. it was sighted, then 20 seconds later it was gone... such an adrenaline rush... no real time to think - all has to be prepared before-hand..
then - afterwards - the disappointments and occasional elation as one looks through the images to see if there is anything worth having...

This (and your others) are rather better than anything I managed to get on stage 3. I'm always amazed that they don't ride into each other, given how close they are. Well, apart from Chris Froome, of course.

thank you for your welcome comments...
i was fortunate enough to get away from the crowds and to place myself near the top of an incline...
i had explained to a friend, living in Chelmsford, how quickly everything happened - how it was "starting" then was gone.. but she was taken by surprise by both the speed of the race and the crowds of folk and laments not being able to take the shots she envisaged..

i believe the stage 3 winner to be Marcel Kittel (Giant-Shimano) but please correct me if i am wrong.. - i get the impression that Chelis (Ipernity club member) is a big fan of his.. :-)

This is excellent, and certainly achieves your aim. Was it taken with a long lens?
