Death is terrifying because it is so ordinary. It happens all the time.

Death is terrifying because it is so ordinary. It happens all the time.
Quoted from Susan Cheever. A trip to the boating lake ended in sadness as a Swan lay, we presume, dying and being attacked by other Swans. The RSPCA were called, but sometimes it seems the animal knows its fate, a quiet resignation.

the circle, you know ... but he looks so calm and quiet, more like sleeping, only some marks of feathers telling the truth. strange that this one is in color ...

it was very calm, even when being pecked by other Swans....it just lay with its eyes rolling, muted and sad. I felt colour was better, it captured the feeling of this scene, it did not need black and white drama.

Very sad process...and it cannot be left in peace. The others must disturb.
When I visited home about three weeks ago, one of the cats around my home curled into a tight ball. I pet it because I know it was not well. My younger brother felt bad and knew she was dying. And my mom discovered her dead earlier this week. When something is not the same, keep close watch. This is life unfortunately. When do we stop holding on? For many, never.
