Study in blue (227/365 2013)

Study in blue (227/365 2013)
August 15th. I've lost the will to live today. This evening was so frustrating. In late from work, hubby running later (still not home, at 8.30). 4 hungry kids. And then I realised because we are off again tomorrow I probably needed to do all the weekly pics today. And then I realised I'd forgotten to upload some.
So I thought I'd do the double combi first. And could I get the camera to focus? No! Changed lenses, changed the light, changed idea. In the end went for this. I wasn't intending this week to be a portrait week, it is just turning out that way.
Really am feeling blue tonight, plus photography photography ( can you spot the other camera?)

Plus this is a mirror shot for the Games and other disasters gang.

~ erin ~, InMyEyes, Compostpyle, Janet Brien and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Great shot.

P.S. The other camera is the phone.

At least something good came out of the day .................. this shot. This is what I call a real portrait - it tells it the way it is!

*big hugs* Awwww, I'm so sorry to hear that life is exploding in your face right now. :( :( I know where you're at, though I've never been a mom. I do know what it's like to have too much to do and things aren't working out right. I hope things get better soon for you. When I feel totally overwhelmed like this, I go OUTSIDE and sit near or surrounded by as many plants as I can find. If there is grass I lay in it. I take many deep breaths while I just tell myself to relax and I say..."breathe in the good energy...breathe out the bad energy..." Sometimes I will move to another spot that's "fresh". Even 5 minutes to "reset" REALLY HELPS. Being still and silent, making your mind stop for just a moment, really helps.

Nobody can get inside your head, it's your special place, and it's perfect--just go to that place and you can see that you just need to regroup and you'll be ok. :)

*more hugs*

I think you're awesome.

Ah, days like that suck, don't they? Still, the shot pretty effectively reflects your feelings here I think, so it's a good one, if you know what i mean. :)
