The Sultan's Palace - Alhambra

The Sultan's Palace - Alhambra
Alhambra translates “The Red One” – presumably referring to a slight pinkish tint in some of the brickwork. The site was a fort in Roman Empire days. Later, Moorish invaders built their own fort and later still this was expanded to became a palace for the Sultans of Granada. The Sultan’s palace was completed in 1333.
Alhambra Palace is near Granada, Andalucia, Spain.
