Arcadia Cracker Home Two, Door

Arcadia Cracker Home Two, Door
This is a second old Florida Cracker home I found quite a while back. I pass by this place on my way to Myakka River State Park, but if you blink and don't know where to look, you'll never see it hidden amongst the large oak trees.

Some people will think, why would I want to photograph old broken down homes that are falling down and I reply…because I can and want to preserve a bit of history. After all this is what part of photography is all about..preserving an image of interest to the photographer.

One has to be very careful when going inside these old homes as the floors are all but rotted out in a lot of places, and falling through a old wooden floor with lots of rusted nails is not a good thing, especially when doing a solo act. My only would on this old place was crossing under the 5 strands of barbed wire cattle fence to get access…I won't go into any more about that.
