Reddish Egret Breeding Plumage Textured

Reddish Egret Breeding Plumage Textured
Well,it has snowed in Florida again. Parts of the pan handle from west to east received some of the white stuff. I have only been getting rain…not hard rain but all day long yesterday and probably all day today as a result of this past Polar Arctic cold mass heading south.

So what do you do when this happens, well you dip into the ole archives…and there are thousands to choose from. If I could throw a dart at my hard drives to make choices I would.

Soon it will be the birding season in a couple of months on the west coast and that means adult birds with breeding colors will abound. So today it is another one of I think the most colorful birds we have here…The Reddish Egret. I have added a brush stroke paint effect texture screen to this image and erased the texture from the bird..

It is a fine looking bird. I can imagine the fascination when there are several around, finding one here, and another elsewhere, and then observing their behaviour.

Unusual weather developing everywhere (fires and 40+ degrees in OZ, whilst we slowly sink under the water pouring from the heavens and sea.....). Hope your weather bucks up soon..
