Glacial Cover - 16,000 BCE
Distribution of Ice and the warm current circling Rockall Bank/Island and exposed landforms including "Doggerland" (the grassy plain later to be mostly covered by the North Sea and English Channel).

The ocean levels were rising. Shown here 110 metres lower than present, at the fullest extent of ice (about 3-4000 years earlier) the oceans were 125 metres (400') lower than today.
