Greenland to Scotland - seas 110m down

Greenland to Scotland - seas 110m down
Showing exposed landforms - without ice cover - sea level 110 metres below present ocean. At this time the North Atlantic does not mix with Arctic cold currents except for the narrow Greenland passage to the west of Iceland.

The Norwegian sea is mostly closed off by a high ridge (finally crossed by the warmer southern currents as the seas rose at approx. 5800 BC). Rockall Bank/Island - lower right - was finally inundated at approx. 10,500 BC years BP (8500 BC).
