Statue In A Mazu Shrine
Mazu is the Goddess who protects sailors (or so South East Chinese tradition has it) in much the same way that St. Nicholas does it in the Europe I think. This statue was in a cave shrine dedicated to her.

I think this guy is a sailor, but I could be wrong (Mazu was a few feet to my left when I took the picture).
