It's hard to imagine that this frozen lake is at only 10km of the desert below the eastern Sierra Nevada.

I love this place... I drove through Tioga pass on last september but... It wasn't frozen :-)

We have been very lucky this day. When we arrived at the beginning of the Tioga Road, it was open since only 20 minutes. For one time, I say thanks to my lazy friends for not getting up too early, we would have missed this road otherwise :) I was still all snowy and frozen, it was very impressive and beautiful.
