In my opinion, that´s an excellent choice for the black and white.
The focus only in one of the flowers with all the beautiful details is another beautiful and intelligent point here.
I just love the white background and the depth of field you got..
A real gorgeous composition
Great lighting.
A superb shot.

In My Opinion: You have made a nice choice here to use black and white. I think for flowers, we see many color shots and so I think it is difficult to make one that really stands out. This is so lovely, with the range of black and white tones, the depth of field you've shot with, the lighting. I just love the detail and sparkles on the petals and anthers. The bokeh is nice too. I wish I had taken it :)
