The tide was completely out this afternoon
Apparently it was on its way back in, it was about over 1/2 mile out

Mandi and I at Westward Ho! Boy was there a cold wind!!!!
I wish I'd thought of taking my sunglasses with me - it was so bright there, but that's quite an unusual thing for us here!!!!

Some wave breakers which are almost decayed
They used to support large planks of wood, which would act as wave breakers - over the years though when the planks have decayed, they've not been replaced, so the wooden struts are the only things remaining

Across the two rivers to Crow Point
I'm going to try and visit this some time this year. It's lovely and quiet, there is also a reserve there and full of birds etc

The tide was on the "turn"
When you say "turn" it means that the tide is just changing from going out to sea, to coming back in to the source. It's really strange because you can see the currents going both directions!

Appledore quay
The large building at the end (last but one house) was where I used to live, my children were brought there from the hospital when they were born, and many times we would sit on the seats on the quayside with them and just watch the world go by. My parents used to own that whole building, so they were my landlords too!!! They had the shop at the ground level and sometimes I used to work in there to help them out. They used to sell all things from ice-cream to coal, with groceries etc in the middle!!!!
