New beginnings

New beginnings
Alphabetical Photochallenge 2014 I for Inchoate. I pondered so much over the meaning of inchoate, just begun, rudimentary, unformed, begin, originate, that I nearly met myself coming back. This made me think of "in my end is my beginning!" the words Mary, Queen of Scots embroidered on her cloth of estate whilst in prison in England.

Still in our cradles
Dreaming of transformation
We wait for the wind.

ATAMA, forever is a long time, Chris M, SMUDGEYSMITH and 37 other people have particularly liked this photo

I'm glad you didn't bump into yourself coming back. This is lovely, Jean with great use of DOF.
I remember my Dad telling me how to get into the cinema without paying. He said that I should walk in backwards and everyone would think I was coming out. It didn't work!!

Well, Mary inspired you...wonderful.

Strange, Jean, that we think and speak of these people (Mary Queen of Scots, Elizabeth, etc) and they seem quite recent and in a way relevant. Today I visited an ancient chapel (c6-800AD), and walked there. And I thought of St Patrick, and St Cuthbert.....how the past intertwines with the present. And the ease with which we relate to modern matters and link in to the ancient...just a thought. These long threads that bind us....

Nearly forgot this:

I have been to Fotheringhay many times... it was a favourite stroll along the river. Nothing left really of the castle now.... but the place of her death is marked.

Silken threads bind us.. in some lives they pull us tightly together... in others we drift... but always the past is a link to the present.....and the future.

I found James R Page's earlier comment interesting, as I also saw this and thought of spacecraft, either satellites or Startrek variety! A well taken macro, Jean.
