albi and coyote carpet

Albi, asleep on her favorite bed in the kitchen. Next to her is my coyote carpet, which a friend gave to me years ago. I not only love the design, it's also practical: we push it underneath her when she decides to get up from the bare floor, where she sometimes decides she would prefer to lay rather than her bed.

Albi on her favorite bed

Those back legs are so weak, and those front legs are so stiff. But She still manages to get up and walk around when she needs to. She's an amazing 17 year old gal. March 2014.

Albi knows you're there

Albi on her second favorite bed, in the living room. I bring her in here during the day - she sleeps in the kitchen now. She's blind, but she knows you're there.

Albi closeup

A closeup of Albi. That growth on her left eye started off as just the tiniest little blob that I kept thinking was dirt and trying to rub off. It appeared three years ago. Because of its nearness to the eye, it can't be removed. Also, she's blind and doesn't seem to care.

Albi and Gray Max in the living room

Gray Max the cat loves to stare at Albi the dog. Albi kinda knows there's something up, but since she's blind, she's not entirely sure.
