This curious abrupt island is a wild life refuge for many birds protected there of the inland predators; These stacks are of basalt, eroded by the ocean powerful waves since millions years; They come from lava intruded in the sea ground which had made new eruptions through rock failures in the far past; USA Oregon US101 Cannon Beach sea stacks.

joli panorama.J'aime ces constructions recouvertes d'écailles de bois (ou essis comme on les appellent dans les Vosges, ou elles reviennent à la mode.) Bien plus joli que des tôles ou plaques de fibro-ciment, qui furent employées après le bois et les ardoises, question de coût et de main d'oeuvre, je pense.

Ah le bois, un matériau noble et souvent efficace! Le problème c'est que des vers peuvent s'en régaler à grande vitesse et que le feu lui est fatal! Merci Deodatus!
