Valley of Fire is the Nevada's oldest State Park dedicated in 1935; The spectacular red sandstone formations are the remains of sand dunes that shifted across this landscape about 150 million years ago during the Jurassic Period and were fixed here and there; Upliftings and movements of terrain, followed by a long erosion, have created the present landscape very colorful as made by a mixture of red sandstones, limestones, shales and conglomerates; USA Nevada Valley of Fire State Park.
