Our very colonial old hotel Fairview was a curious place where giraffes were assembled on care and sometimes they passed their long neck through the dining room windows!!! We rented a car in Nairobi to explore the nearby animal parks, the Naivasha and Nakuru lake crowded by flamingoes, Treetops Thomson Falls and Mt Kenya then Amboseli National Park and Masaï reserves at the base of Mt Klimandjaro; Then we had a flight to the coastal town of Mombasa were we made Hindu Jain Indian friends and also met the harbour's Belge director who lived with a "harem" of selected young men; He offered us a memorable refined meal in his palace and had made for us delicious "Crepes Suzette"!!! By chance we were not included in the "harem" and were happy to come back our hotel Whispering Palms without problem!

Les girafes rentrant leur tête et leur long cou dans la salle à manger de l'hôtel Fairview, c'était trop drôle! Encore un voyage mémorable! Merci cher Régis!

I have seen other pictures of giraffes in the hotel window on the internet, but I did not know that it had happened to you on one of your trips as well.

This old hotel has been transformed later in a kind of nursery for giraffes but we saw this curious and unexpected scene as well the funny face of our young black waiter dressed in old English style with a very large bow tie that made us laugh a lot!
