PICT18742ac 52°C (125,6°F) for a Picnic Under Shelter

PICT18742ac 52°C (125,6°F) for a Picnic Under Shelter
During the second half of June, we were in Peloponnese near the Bassae site visited with an unsupportable temperature and found a concrete table under a shelter built because a mountain fountain was there; Getting out of the car we have been shocked by a very warm wind at 1,000 metres in altitude -normally cooler than at sea-level; I asked Pierre to take off from our luggages in the trunk our alarm-clock which indicates also temperatures in °Celsius; It was indicating 32°C (89,6°F), the temperature of the car with the climatisation; I posed it in the shadow on the table; After 10 minutes, it stabilizied at 52°C (125,6°F) and it has been the same all the next days, an horror making impossible any climbing on the sites!!! On the same day, the TV news spoke of 8 dead people in Athens and of an incredible temperature of 61°C (141,8°F) in Turkey while in France (not so far from Greece and not very upper in latitude) it was only 15°C (59°F)and still to-day in July!!! The climate is really changing a lot!!!
