PICT17929ac St Barbara Roadside Orthodox Chapel
Driving in Greece is abominable; Excessive speed even for lorries, the permanent need to not follow another car makes local people pass constantly on narrow roads even in curves or in third position or top hill without visibility eating the hard white line and that results in frequent deadly frontal shocks; At each time a chapel is built for the victims and there are thousands and thousands chapels all along the roads in Greece! We escaped many times to that during this trip and it is a miracle to be still alive! On the road from Amfissa to the coast, it was so terrible that I was about to let the car on the roadside so I was stressed!

Je suis tout-à-fait de ton avis pour la Corse où j'ai eu aussi des peurs bleues sur les rourtes étroites de montagne! La Crète est pas mal non plus pour ce genre de frayeurs, merci Marie

These small 'churches' by the side of the roads are a greek habit..I think in no other land there are so many small churches on the roads..Evan
