PICT3743b Down After The Ship Wreck from JMW TURNER

PICT3743b Down After The Ship Wreck from JMW TURNER
As all other reproductions, same dimensions as original (0,245 x 0,362) painted around 1840 and belonging to London Courtauld Institutes Galleries; The genial JMW.Turner has here painted death with unattended colors: A ship (probably a coal transporter) wrecked during the night and everyone died except this little dog, exhausted, trembling of cold, with its rear legs not more sustaining him; the frightened poor animal barks against the sea which has engulfed its master; The scarlate clouds of dawn reflect as marks of blood on the sand; This scene is for sure the most poignant representation of distress present in the Romantic British Painting and is as a blue sapphire on my flat wall; I did two reproductions of that on different years, the other has been offered to Pierre's brother couple Jacques and Marijo; I feel happy that the projection of the two slides at the same time coincide at perfection!
