We were so lucky when entering the Cathedral because an organ free concert with trumpet just began!!! This restored instrument (Cavaillé-Coll, 1889 / Roethinger, 1936) decorated with golden arabesques has been built in 1429 with 2,500 pipes at that time; Many restorations and enlargements were operated since its original version; It is crowned by the lovely west facade rose called Rose of the Sea; This mediaeval instrument is a gift of King Louis IX or St Louis; France Picardie Region Somme Department Amiens Capital Cathedral Notre Dame UNESCO World Heritage in 1981.

It looks so mediaeval, of really another time! Did You notice the ceiling under the organ case made as a dark blue sky with golden stars? I shall post other pictures from below, thank You Carol!
