It is the oldest of all pagodas in Hanoï; The Pagoda was constructed in the 6th century during the reign of King Ly Nam De and was then named An Quoc, Tran Quoc and Tran Bao; With an architecture in harmony with nature, the Pagoda creates a beautiful scenery on the lake; This famous Buddhist Pagoda is situated by the Thanh Nien road, Yen Phu ward, Tay Ho disrict; The actual state of this landmark comes from the restoration of 1815 and includes the porch, the main altar, the hosts room, the ancester room, the garden of tombs stones, all of this located on a pretty islet and reflects in the superb lake of the West; Vietnam Hanoï Pagoda Tran Quoc (of the Homeland Defense).
