The Protestant Temple has been built between 1901 and 1904 by the Germans ruling this border town at that time and was consecrated by Emperor Guillaume II himself; As Metz was a Catholic town, this temple was needed by the occupying new rulers to practice their own cult; This new church has been built in the German Neo Roman style on an island of Moselle River called Petit Saulcy rooming also gardens called Gardens of Love; France Lorraine Region Moselle Department Metz Capital Protestant Temple on Moselle River.

I have never seen the term Protestant Temple before for a Christian church. Interesting. The photo is beautiful.
