It's a shame to see them knocked down, I've always enjoyed seeing them in the landscape when on a journey. They've also demolished the cooling towers beside the M1 in Sheffield. They're fantastic structures.

There are still another three left (to be demolished later). I could kick myself for not taking more shots whilst they were still working, as the clouds were a magnificent sight.

The links to the other site show some very nice shots with the steam billowing up into the sky, that's just the way I remember them. I must try to find out where any remaining cooling towers stand before they're all demolished. On YouTube there are a few videos that show the interiors of cooling towers.
