Dolní Moravice, Jeseníky Mountain, Czech Republic

The Jeseníky Mountains spread out in the most northern corner of Moravia at the state border with Poland. Their heart is formed by the Hrubý Jeseník, the second highest mountain ridge in the Czech Republic, dominated by the majestic, 1,492-metre-high Praděd Mountain. The region is further formed by the massive of the Kralický Sněžník, the Rychlebské Mountains and the Nízký Jeseník. All those mountain ridges, except for the Nízký Jeseník, are higher than 1,000 m above sea level. The Nízký Jeseník Mountains with their highest mountain Slunečná (798 m above sea level) create a slightly undulating elevated plateau in the east of the region. The Jeseníky provide ideal conditions for recreation, hiking and sports, especially winter sports. The whole region is interwoven with a dense network of marked hiking paths, and the many recreational and sports centres offer possibilities to spend pleasant moments of relaxation or sport in these Moravian mountains.
