Yes ... it has been in very poor condition for the past 15 years and I think it set empty for most of those years.

holyfrickinshit! what an awesome place, too much white and frufru for me... but damn I wouldn't turn it down if someone gave it to me! one of those bathrooms is bigger than my whole (city) house.. I do hope they rebuilt it with quality and care, not just slapped together like they seem to do here.

Most of these old Victorians were carved into apartments during the housing shortage following WWII, but there are a few around that are nearly as big as a castle! That's a lot of house for the money you've picked out! The reason it's so cheap is that the neighborhood it's in is a bit like the wild west!

:o))) LIke in Breaking Bad ? that would definetly be a lot of exotic fun !!!! Just got to find a green card now :o)
for this price you can only have a studio in Strasbourg (this is an appartement with only one room), the average price for a little 4 or 5 rooms (withonly 1 bath !!!) is around 300000 euros.....

The black version of it maybe! The bigger problem would be drive by shootings and break-ins. If you'd gotten your green card in the 70s ... the Victorians were selling for less $20,000 here. Restored ... most are $450,000 plus today.

Nice is not it ? Well the neighbourg does not look that friendly........
A move to America ? Perhaps not for the rest of my life, but if I had the opportunity to stay 2 or 3 years, it would realy be wonderful for me !!!

Seems like I remember the Pilgrims telling the Indians the same thing when they landed ... just two, or three years! :-) Most of these neighborhoods have been reclaimed one house at a time. My block had four houses on it when I moved in. All the rest had burned during the crack phase of the neighborhood. Now ... I'm nearly surrounded again ... by very expensive houses! :-)
