casa rosa #2

casa rosa #2
Until a few months ago, I lived in the centre of large Australian city. Now I live in the middle of a forest in central Portugal. Bouçã da Figueira was once a small village, but now we are the only inhabitants. The other houses are rapidly returning to the earth except this one, Casa Rosa, which is just the same as when its owner died 35 years ago, except for a birds nest in the kitchen and the slow collapse of... everything.

fla001, Kaliak, Judith Crispin, Ulrika Westen and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

Are you near Casal de São Simão--which has been rediscovered and is being rebuilt.

It's about a 5min drive away. It's a gorgeous village and we always take visitors there (also because there's a good restaurante there)

Thanks Ian -- I'm so glad you got to see it with your own eyes. How did your pics of it come out?
