This is in a newly built lobby to the UNESCO protected "Yunggang Grottoes". The modern design building had arisen since we were here for the first time, some year ago. This time we only enjoyed the sofas, while our friends were observing the seasite.
Of course the quick development has its price -- after the finishing of new entrance hall, the entrance cost to the grottoes have doubled.
hi Havran !
I discovered this site this summer and, well, grottoes are amazing but the kind of Disneyland-like lobby at the entrance, the shops, the fake temple, all this in fact is a bit ... disappointing ... (not talking about the price, as you said).
I could not believe it is the same place I was before, and I was quite shocked to see the change of entrance fee over a year. This time we were not coming inside again, we were just accompanying our friends, so we have used the new lobby for waiting, for which we could not complain. Think this sort of thigs happen all over the world, anyway, we call it development. I think that it is mostly painful, when it is made without soul.
