Gimli Canada 

This photo is taken in Gimli Canada 2007 at Íslendingadagurinn (Icelandic festival). Here I am in my icelandic national dress. I was amazed when I spoke with the older people who had Icelandic gradparents and had moved to Canada many years ago. These folks (that I spoke with) were born in Canada and had never been to Iceland. But they were still able to speak the language.

Thanks :-) I am blushing :-))))))) I made this my self. I had to take a course to learn how to make it. It was a lot of work, a lot is done the hard way. f.ex. sawing in your hands without using a sawing machine. But I was very pleased when I was finished. I also have another type of Icelandic national dress ( also made it my self).

Thank you Berny27 :-) I wear this dress on special days. I really enjoy my Icelandic roots and in app. 2 weeks time I will have my second national outfit ready :-)

Canada is the second largest country in the world so it´s hard to explore it all! It is huge!!!!
Iceland is easier as it is very small and only 103.000 km3 :-) lol I am sure you will enjoy Iceland

Undoubtedly ! I love to be in wildernesses ! I have been 4 times in Newfoundland ( Canada) so far and I am attracted for Iceland !
