Borgarvirki lies between Vesturhóp and Víðidalur in the north of Iceland, and at 177m above sea level it dominates the surrounding region. Made out of basalt strata, was used as a fortress long time ago.

Borgarvirki se trouve entre Vesturhóp et Víðidalur dans le nord de l'Islande, et à 177m au-dessus du niveau de la mer il domine la région environnante. Fait hors des strates de basalte, il a été employé comme forteresse pendant des siècles.

Il y a beaucoup paysage différent saisit l'Islande. Car il y a allmoste aucune forêt en Islande vous pouvez voir le paysage très bien

I like such wild & wide landscapes!

But I thought in this time of the year your country would be covered with snow ;)

And is it made with Photomatix help or left natural?

Thank you :-) Yes I used photomatix.
Yes the snow :-) It depends on where you are in Iceland. This photo was taken last Tuesday in north western Iceland. The day after the winds where blowing from the north and it snowed and snowed. If you look at my new photos you can see that it is a lot of snow in Akureyri today :-)
