My I-Pad

My I-Pad
This is my current "I-Pad." It's batteries never need recharging and lasts every bit as long as the expensive electronic versions. Plus, mine only cost about .50 cents. Been using them since before the electronic I-Pads came out and they have never failed me. I've got scads of them lying about with photo notes just like this.

I have a hard time doing this on roll film, less so on sheet and instant.

I find myself using cameras differently based on the camera/format. With sheet and instant my pace is different and I usual have plenty of time to jot things down. i shoot 35 faster no notes. for 120 toy cameras almost no notes. TLR and wider 120 notes.

That's what I thought you meant. Have you ever thought about picking up one of those tiny little micro-cassette recorders to verbally jot your notes down? Having just thought of it myself, I may have to give it a whirl and see how it works out.
