Perseid

Perseid
This was my attempt at trying to catch a meteor duing the Perseid meteor shower of 2013. I didn't get any meteors passing by in this frame, but two airplanes happened to go by right through the middle of my frame. It was clear when I started, then clouds began to roll in. That's why there are gaps toward the end of the star streaks - clouds obliterated part of them during the exposure.

Camera: Sears TLS, Mk II (Made in 1967)
Film: Kodak Portra 160 ASA
Shooting Program: Manual (No batteries)
Aperture: f/1.7
Shutter Speed: "B" 30 minutes
Date: August 13th, 2013, 1.10 - 1.40 a.m.
Location: Opdyke, Illinois, U.S.A.

Cool star trails! I haven't done this in forever ... now I'm thinking, maybe next time I'm in a place without too much ambient light.
