Sunset Bay, HFF

Only a few sunset watchers remain as the sun disappears behind the higher ground of South Wales leaving Bridgwater Bay bathed in golden light, The Island of Steep Holm and the Welsh Coast left of image and Burnham on Sea beyond the fence line, the gull was flying a little fast for my settings. Recommend large view please.

Waves disturb the sand and sediments' as they reach the sea defences, another midsummer image from Bridgwater Bay at Burnham on Sea, The higher lighthouse on the horizon just left of center and lower Lighthouse in pip, before GPS entrance to the two rivers was achevied by lining up both beacons which then indicated the deep water channels, Large please

At length did cross an albatross, HFF

A statue of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's Ancient Mariner stands on the promenade, He was staying at nearby Nether Stowey with friends William and Dorothy Wordsworth when having walked over the Quantock Hills to Watchet he was inspired to write the poem, Link to full poem poets.org/poem/rime-ancient-mariner Statue by Alan B Herriot of Penicuik, Scotland, The evening sun casts long shadows and tide is about to turn and refill the harbour which been dry for some hours.
