Flood Tide

The oldest of the five bridges that cross the River Parret in Bridgwater pictured on a winter flood tide,
This is the latest in a line of bridges on this site and this was erected in 1883

Nice one Roger, The Yellow devise between the span and the arch, is that some sort of assisted hydraulic support or just decorative.

Looks like part of Bridgwater's coat of arms to me - the smaller yellow plates are bosses covering bolted joints.

Very much appreciated Maurice, Stone road is correct in as much as the central part is indeed now part of the towns coat of arms, as for the two elongated plates the one on the left says erected in 1883 and the one on the right W.T Holland Mayor.
