Kolton Grant arrived at 6:53 AM EDT on 10-17-09. Dim lighting, handprint-covered viewing windows with glares, and a nervous grandfather's hands shaking the camera leave a lot to be desired in terms of "quality" shots, but these photos are precious to me. Looking at Kolton, I can't even begin to thank God enough for the wonderful miracle of life which He has given to him. Indeed, I am blessed to become a grandfather, and my daughter truly is blessed to become a mom! There are far too many pictures here for an average viewer to really want to view, but you can't have too many pictures for the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends of the family! Also, I wanted to document Kolton's first few hours of life after birth as much as possible. (This is a part of his experience my daughter wasn't able to see, since she was recovering from a long agonizing delivery at the time.) Feel free to view as few or as many as you like. I realize that there are many, many similar pictures in this set. A final note...there are a few pictures that I've marked only for friends and family, or as totally private, just because our local Department of Social Services in this part of the USA tends to be over reactive and look at things through 17th or 18th century eyes. What would be fine in any other part of the world (even ultra-conservative areas), the local DSS folks here would get alarmed over. I'm surprised they haven't tried to outlaw disposable diaper commercials here because they show a baby's bottom. lol As I have time, carefully edited, cropped, or modified versions of these photos will be uploaded to satisfy the local alarmists, who seem to think anyone not wearing a long sleeve shirt and long pants is showing too much skin.
