it somehow not easy to say what i feel about it..... it's sad, dark, even terrific. on the other hand she is so unarmed, with heart on her sleeve.... (literally too - her décolletage has got shape of heart for me). i need to think about it.

Yes the heart is what stands out even in the darkness. I did not intend this to be sad. I can see though why you think it is. Time and space are impermanent what is is no longer and what used to be is nothing but a memory; a thought which takes us back to familiar times and places but also to new ones invented and inexistent as of yet.

I totally agree with rafaln. I cannot easily tell how I feel about this shot.

Thanks Tom for sharing your thoughts. There may be an element of uneasiness in this picture; a tension which is what this picture is all about.

I do not have to think of a possible young Greek widow, something like 60-70 years ago, or like the one in "Zorba the Greek". Only her décolleté makes me think otherwise ;-) Are your (or her) thoughts so diffused?

:) Zorba the Greek now here's a classic !!! I don't know about her thoughts but mine are not always clear :) Yes this is somewhat a scene from a dream--I don't know if I actually ever had this dream--but it seems like it could have been.

A dream? Oh, if you are interested in such creative book like Murakami's you might be interested in great art films. Try to find this magnificent film from Argentina Don't Die Without Telling Me Where You're Going. You'll see there the dream registering machine!
