Thanks Wendi :-) Fun and games doing this one, trying to fit the apple into the bottle. Several crops later...

I've heard about people growing fruit in a bottle, but never seen one. Great shot and texture.

Seen In My Opinion: the photographic equivalent of a ship in a bottle perhaps? Well shot, well presented image that draws one in because of the intrigue it presents. Maybe another contender for a square crop to add punch? In My Opinion a pleasing and clever image that promotes intrigue.

Thanks Keith. Amazing how these ideas materialise. The originalchallenge was pickle or pickled, and I didn't have anything handy so had to come up with my own version :-) I like the idea of a square crop. Didn't do that originally as I rather liked the colour tones on the right.

Loving the optical illusion that you have created here. It has a huge slice of intrigue and Keith is right to note that it reminds us of a 'ship in a bottle' concept. It forces you to look at the photo more than possibly you would normally do and that is clever and makes the photo work in so many ways. The shiny surface that acts as the tabletop is well chosen as it adds a bokeh effect almost and I like it. I agree with Keith again in thinking that a square crop would make a good picture even better!
