NHRA Final Pomona California 2008

The final drag race of the year. The champion for the season is crowned. Top Fuel and Funny Car are the main attractions. Speeds are over 300MPH in a 1/4 mile. The smoke from fires in Southern California could be seen in the foothills less than 5 miles away. One of the most exciting sporting events one can ever attend. I had seats less then 50 yards away from the start line. I was so close that with my 75-300MM lens could not get the dragsters in full frame. With the fast cars comes equally fast women and spectators. I hope you enjoy this photo album as much as I did taking it.
