Taken at The Citadel, formerly the old Firestone tire factory off the 5 south in East LA. Now a discount factory outlet center. I don't know about the old "Price is Right" crowd but the one's lining up for the last 10 years would not stand up to this crowd, at least in quailty of attractive women, anyway.

The old Firestone factory is now a discount outlet, how low we have fallen. Well the "price is right" crowd was older but a lot more colorful with more funny signs and shirts.
Actually it is not that bad (The Citadel) They have preserved much of the old architecture and cleaned up the place pretty nice. It is in a corridor of factory wherehouses and discount funiture wholesalers. I was pretty happy with what they did to the place and that you don't have to drive 50 miles out of town to get to a nice factory outlet to get a good deal on name brand goods.
But resently they have modified the facade of the building and installed 5 huge billboard size TV screens with changing ads every few seconds. A little distracting. I wonder if the number of accidents have increased with people watching the ads instead of the car in front of them.
I see the crowd that line up for "Price" all the time as I work next to where they record. They also tape "Dancing with the stars" and "American idol". Often on the same day. The differences in the people for the different shows is quite remarkable. All the classy women dressed up for "Stars" and all the teens for "idol" and all the mid westerners for "Price".
