SS Dicky Wreck in fog

SS Dicky Wreck in fog
The same day....first a cloudless sky, then the fog rolled in from West and 30min later the spectacle was over.

The SS Dicky was washed ashore onto Dicky Beach in 1893 during a cyclone. It was re-floated, but again, heavy seas turned the ship about and back onto the sand where it remains to this day.

The suburb & beach was named after the ship. The beach is an unspoilt stretch of sun-drenched white sand, on Queensland's magnificent Sunshine Coast.

Françoise Delestrade, Breizh, Dorai, Nathou and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

I wanted to get this close to the wreck the other day but the surf was too big and the tide coming in. There was a lot less sand there the other day too.
