...and many things I would like to see out in force again, Homaris. Street photography is difficult when no one is in the street. I think this series of photos of faces is me pining for the old days.

I used to do statistical analysis for a living, L&eopold. Maybe I could plot a trend line for this series of photos. What fun.

An excellent capture of this busy street scene John. I am surprised at the number of cyclists

Thanks, Carol. I don't know why anyone cycles in downtown Toronto. These people are crossing a streetcar/tram intersection. I have seen what happens when you get your wheel caught in the recess for a streetcar track. But these people seem confident. The city was starting to put in separated lanes for bikes when I moved.

I count 8 cyclists, 4 in cars and 1 in the yellow truck. = 13. But then I know nothing of statistics.

Well, my analysis is somewhat flawed itself, William. I have never assessed the reliability of my face counts, for a start.

A surprising admission for someone of your former profession! Still, on the bright side, you could very easily get a job with Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign team. He’s always on the lookout for people with an imaginative interpretation of statistics. ;-)

The assessment of reliability used to be one of the bees in my professional bonnet, William. It's often omitted, and when not omitted it's often analyzed ineptly. Trump interprets everything imaginatively, of course. I seem to recall him saying that in the Revolutionary War the Americans took control of the airports.

In Canada we once laughed a man out of politics for not knowing which way the Niagara River flowed. He should've moved to the States, I guess.

I wonder why coffee to go- cups always stand somewhere ... most of the time at the wrong place, but then quite proper.

John FitzGerald club has replied to Leon_Vienna club
That's a Tim Hortons cup, Leon. They constitute about 95% of the litter in Canada. I'm beginning to suspect it's a marketing campaign. They go out at night and stand these cups up on street furniture to make it look as if everyone is drinking Tims.

I never got any better explanations for this circumstance!! Thanks a lot.
